| "A Boy and his Dog" Hammered/Welded Steel |
| I'm a self taught artist living in Alabama with my wife and daughter. I began to take my art seriously in 1995 working with clay, then metal and later began painting. I became disabled in '97, hit head-on by a Ford Explorer. I was on my bike and hit at 50mph, b4-&-Fter pics here - [link] Since the accident I've had much thought about what could have happened and count my many blessings. I've learned to be more appreciative every day that I almost didn't get to live. In my art I like to do work that inspires people, to engage my creativity, to release the energy I feel leaving it in concrete form for others to ponder. I like to think, to solve problems, to make interesting things from simple objects. My metal sculpture is whimsical and reflects my lighthearted nature. My paintings are more introspective and depict more of my raw emotions and deeper thoughts. I also like to write, take pictures, play music, explore different facets of my creativity and life in general. |

And BTW, scrap metal art FTW!
I like your work, it's interesting.
To get better pics try shooting outside on a cloudy day and maybe put the piece on a black cloth for contrast. If it's a close up, try a macro setting if your camera has one.
Take care!
